The winner for June is Viking

Viking is a "quarter-type" gelding who was born in 1996, so he's 14 this year...
He's a red roan with a flaxen mane and tail. Unlike his buddy Roman, Viking has ALL of his socks and a blaze. He's 15 hands and wieghs in at about 1,050 on a good day after a big lunch.
He was a privately owned pleasure horse before coming to the Ranch in February of 2003. He's still a pleasure horse, he just has a much bigger family now!

May's Winner is Roman

Roman is a 16 year old sorrel gelding with a white blaze and three white socks. (we don't know where his missing sock went) He is a quarter horse mix, stands 15 hands tall and weighs almost 1,000 lb.s.

He came to the ranch in September of 2006. He was originally from Mexico and speaks English and Spanish. He was brought to the United States by a horse trader in Dragoon, AZ. (He has all of his papers and is legal)
